So you were waitlisted – now what? Being placed on your dream school’s waitlist can be very confusing and disappointing after months of awaiting college decisions, but there’s a lot to consider in the days and weeks leading up to National College Decision Day on May 3. Join IvyWise college admissions counselors Carolyn and Christine as they share insights on waitlist’s purpose and how it works, your chances of getting off the waitlist, and, most importantly, the next steps you need to take over the coming weeks. Christine

Christine is a former Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at both Yale University and Georgetown University. Prior to this year, Georgetown strongly recommended that applications submit three subject tests as part of the admissions process. Christine graduated from Yale University magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in History. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Georgetown. You get exposed to new ideas, new people. The personal growth part is huge. I really believe that everyone should have that kind of experience if they want.” At IvyWise, Christine specializes in students seeking admission to highly selective schools and underrepresented minorities.
