As the college application process becomes more and more competitive each year, it has become increasingly important for students and families to lay the groundwork for college prep as early as 6-8th grade. Join members of IvyWise’s team of WiseStart™ experts to discover how building a strong foundation of executive functioning skills at a young age, identifying the right primary and secondary schools for your children, and receiving early college guidance sets a student up for future success in the college application process and beyond. Attendees will learn how they can best prepare their children for the future, with tips for each grade from kindergarten through eighth grade. There will be a live Q&A session following the presentation, allowing attendees to have their questions about early college prep and executive functioning skills answered directly by IvyWise’s WiseStart™ experts.

IvyWise WiseStart™ Counselor & Former Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Yale and Georgetown
Christine is a former Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at both Yale University and Georgetown University. Christine graduated from Yale University magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in History. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and a Ph.D. in Political Science from Georgetown. Christine also places a high value on the learning aspect of higher education and believes it helps to develop who you are. She says, “At the undergraduate level, it’s so formative. You get exposed to new ideas, new people. The personal growth part is huge. I really believe that everyone should have that kind of experience if they want.” At IvyWise, Christine specializes in students seeking admission to highly selective schools and underrepresented minorities.
Lorenza
IvyWise WiseStart™ Executive Functioning Coach
Lorenza is an IvyWise WiseStart™ Executive Functioning Coach, specializing in developing and strengthening the executive functioning and study skills of students to help them maximize their academic potential. After graduating from Harvard University with an M.P.P., Lorenza continued her education at IPTAR where she completed an extensive program focusing on child and adolescent psychotherapy. She then went on to complete studies in social thinking, learning and the brain, executive functioning, and learning differences in children and young adults. Since then, Lorenza has consulted with parents and schools on strategies to help students better develop executive functioning skills and has developed and coordinated team plans to ensure their successful implementation. She has also taught at a variety of levels, ranging from elementary school through Principles of Economics at a top-ranked university.
